FUCK OFF (2014)

EN Throughout the mourning process, we can feel anger towards different objectives, such as towards those people who try to offer us consolation and even towards the very idea of death. “Fuck off” is a sarcastic way of looking the pain and fear to death in the eye. The calligrams are drawn with my blood. Each one presents a phrase that for me is related to death and that is transformed with the verb 'to fuck'. The shapes I used are traditional symbols of life and death: circle, clock, pica and spiral, which compose a modern vanitas.
These small and delicate calligrams of just 12 x 12 cm arouse the curiosity of the viewer, and only when he gets closer and read the paper, the mystery is revealed and the work shows the rage within it.
Framing has been done leaving a 8 cm space between the glass and the work, giving it an appearance of urn that reflects a desperate attempt of conservation, almost as if it was a relic.
SP A lo largo del proceso de duelo, podemos sentirnos enojados hacia diferentes objetivos, como las personas que intentan ofrecernos consuelo e incluso hacia la idea misma de la muerte. "Fuck off"" es una forma sarcástica de mirar a la cara al dolor y el miedo a la muerte.
Los caligramas se dibujan con mi sangre. Cada uno presenta una frase que para mí está relacionada con la muerte y que se transforma con el verbo "to fuck". Las formas que utilicé son símbolos tradicionales de la vida y la muerte: círculo, reloj, pica y espiral, que componen un moderno vanitas.
Estos pequeños y delicados caligramas de solo 12 x 12 cm despiertan la curiosidad del espectador, y solo cuando se acerca y lee el papel, se revela el misterio y la obra muestra la rabia que hay en ella.
El encuadre se ha hecho dejando un espacio de 8 cm entre el vidrio y el trabajo, dándole una apariencia de urna que refleja un intento desesperado de conservación, casi como si fuera una reliquia.
